Affiliate marketing is a form of performance-based marketing in which an affiliate works to promote a company’s products or services in exchange for a commission. People who participate in affiliate marketing promote their businesses through both traditional and digital marketing channels. To raise awareness of a company’s goods and services, an affiliate marketer may promote the company’s goods and services through social influence or through the use of other marketing mediums, such as search engine optimization, paid search advertising, social media, or webinars.
